Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the team behind Daily Facts & Trivia ("we", "us") handles information in the Daily Facts & Trivia mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
01Introduction
We built the App to be a calm, private way to read facts. We collect as little as possible, and we do not sell your personal information.
02Information We Collect
Information you provide in the App
- Facts you save to Favorites
- Topics and interests you choose
- App settings (such as reminder time, theme, and widgets)
This is used solely to provide the App's functionality and personalize your experience. The App does not require an account, and does not ask for your name, email, or contacts to function.
Information collected automatically
- Device type and operating-system version
- App version
- Anonymous usage data (which features are used, and crash/diagnostic data)
This is used to keep the App stable and improve it.
Purchases and subscriptions
All payments, subscriptions, and free trials are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store your credit-card number, payment credentials, or Apple ID password. We receive only your subscription status and purchase type so we can unlock Premium features and restore purchases.
03How We Use Information
- provide and maintain the App's features;
- personalize the fact stream to your chosen topics;
- enable and restore purchases;
- improve performance and stability;
- respond to support requests.
We do not use your saved facts or topic choices to build advertising profiles.
04Third-Party Services
The App uses a small number of third-party services, each of which may process limited data under its own privacy policy:
Apple — App Store billing, subscriptions, and (if enabled) iCloud storage.
RevenueCat — manages subscription status and entitlements. Receives an anonymous app-user identifier and your subscription/purchase status.
Google Firebase — analytics and crash reporting, to understand feature usage in aggregate and diagnose crashes.
Meta (Facebook) SDK — used for install attribution and advertising measurement. Where required, this operates only after you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, tracking-related data is not shared for cross-app advertising.
Our own analytics service — receives anonymous, aggregated event data (such as which screens and facts are viewed) to improve the App.
We share data with these providers only as needed to operate the App, and only in anonymized or aggregated form where possible.
05Data Storage and Security
Your in-app data is stored on your device and/or in secure cloud storage. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
06Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only:
- with Apple, to validate and restore subscriptions;
- with the service providers listed in Section 4, to operate the App;
- when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
07Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
08Your Rights
Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because the App works without an account and stores most data on your device, you can exercise many of these rights directly by editing your preferences or deleting the App. For other requests, contact us through the App's App Store listing.
09Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the App's functionality. Data stored on your device is removed when you delete the App; aggregated analytics may be retained in de-identified form.
10International Users
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by the service providers listed in Section 4. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we update the "Last updated" date above.
12Contact Us
For privacy questions or requests, contact us through the App's App Store listing.
